About the EU....

 

The European Union (EU) is a unique economic and political partnership of 27 European countries. Together these countries cover the majority of the continent.
The European Union was established after World War II. Economic cooperation was encouraged with the assumption that countries trading with each other become economically dependent on each other, and are thus concerned with avoiding conflicts. At the beginning, it was solely an economic union, but it has become an organization covering various political areas - from development aid to the environment.
EU activities are based on the rule of law: every action of the EU is regulated by Contracts that are democratically signed by all member states of their own free will. These binding agreements define most of the aims of EU activities.
The key economic driving force of the EU is the single, or internal, market. Due to this, most goods, services, capital and people can move freely within the EU. Another main goal is to use its huge potential to the maximum so that Europeans can reap maximum benefits.
One of the main goals of the EU is to propagate human rights within the EU and the world. The key values for the EU are human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, legal state, and respect for human rights.
During the continuous development process, the EU has striven to reach more transparency and democracy in the activities of its managing institutions. More power has been given to the directly elected European Parliament; a more important role has been given to member states’ parliaments cooperating with European institutions. EU citizens also have more ways to participate in the political process.

Von seiner Ausdehnung ist Katalonien zwar ein kleines Land, doch aufgrund seiner mehr als tausendjährigen Geschichte gross und wertvoll mit eigener Kultur und Sprache, die seinen Charakter geprägt haben. Die Ursprünge Kataloniens als geografische, sprachliche und territoriale Einheit reichen bis ins Hochmittelalter zurüch. Katalonien, ein Land Europas. Willkommen!

 

¡EUROPEÍZATE!.....

Los europeos comen a las 12. Los europeos no salen a partir de las 6.

Los europeos...Europa siempre nos ha parecido algo lejana. Una tierra diferente que poco tenía que ver con nosotros. Por eso esta aventura que es la Unión Europea resulta tan impresionante. Porque no hay nada más fascinante que la convivencia entre diferentes que se convierten en iguales cuando de cumplir sus sueños se trata.

Europa es el reto y la oportunidad de nuestro futuro. Europeicémonos definitivamente. Y europeizarse no pasa por levantarse mas temprano o cenar a las 6. Europeizarse pasa por creernos nuestra nacionalidad europea, que en primer término debe ser nuestra gran nación. Ese espacio que siempre hemos anhelado de progreso y futuro en paz. Europa es la oportunidad que se nos ha dado de cambiar de raíz nuestra sociedad.

Durante mucho tiempo los españoles mirábamos a esa tierra lejana con la aspiración de parecernos a ella, de alcanzar sus cotas de bienestar y democracia. Hoy sin embargo se hace necesario que Europa recupere valores. Necesitamos una Europa más preocupada por lo social, por la solidaridad y la igualdad. Una Europa de los ciudadanos, de los jóvenes y los trabajadores. Necesitamos una Europa socialista.

11 SETEMBRE, DIADA DE CATALUNYA.

Festes amb identitat.

El dia 11 de setembre se celebra la Festivitat Nacional de Catalunya, en record del tràgic final del setge de Barcelona l'any 1714 per les tropes del rei espanyol "Felipe V".
Va ser l'últim acte de la Guerra de successió, que va comportar la pèrdua de les llibertats nacionals catalanes.

Fiestas con identidad.
El día 11 de septiembre se celebra la Festividad Nacional de Cataluña, en recuerdo del trágico final del asedio de Barcelona el año 1714 por las tropas del rey español "Felipe V".
Fue el último acto de la Guerra de Sucesión, que comportó la pérdida de las libertades nacionales catalanas.

The National Festival of Catalonia is held on 11 September, in memory of the gragic end of the siege of Barcelona in the year 1714 by the roops of the Spanish King "Philip V".
This was the last act of the War of Succession, vhich involved the loss of national freedom for the Catalan people.

Feste mit Identität.
Am 11, September wind in Erinnerung an das tragische Ende der Besetzung von Barcelona 1714 durch die Truppen des spanischen Königs "Phillip V". Der Nationalfeiertag von Katalonien begangen.
Es war das Schlusskapitel des Spanischen Erbfolgekriegs, der den Verlust de katalanischen nationalen Freiheitsrechte bedeutete.

Die Sprache-ein Zeichen der Identität

Das Katalanische ist die eigene Sprache Kataloniens. Sie ist es seit dem 12. Jahrhundert. Im Zuge der Rückgewinnung der Demokratie wurden das Katalanische und das Spanische 1979 als offizielle Sprachen in dem Gebiet anerkannt. Die Ursprünge des Katalanischen gehen bis ins Mittelalter zurück und obwohl es in der Geschichte Etappen des Verbots un der Unterdrückung durchgemacht hat, wird es heute von den Katalanen mehrheitlich verwendet.

Situated in the North East of the Iberian Peninsula, Catalonia has more than seven million inhabitants and has a surface area of 31,980 km2, which makes it comparable in size to Belgium, the Netherlands or Switzerland. Throughout the centuries, the Catalan nation has enjoyed various degrees of sovereignty protected by the political institutions and various forms of government of the different periods of history. Today, the ruling body in Catalonia is the generalitat, Catalonia's self-governing institution that includes the President, the Government and the Parliament-one of the osdest in Europe. These institutions are governed by Statute of Autonomy and share political power with the institutions of the Sapnish State.
